How to Upgrade Textmotion

Continue reading only if you have already installed and older version of Textmotion and want to upgrade to the lastest version.

During the upgrade, your site may not be available for your visitors.

Make sure you have a database backup.

Using the Package Manager

This is the prefered method of upgrading.

Login into your administrator account.
Browse to Settings » Packages.
Click “System” tab and click “install”.
If you are not automatically redirected, go to http://yoursite.example.org/install/ and follow on-screen directions. Make sure you choose UPGRADE when asked. Otherwise, you might end up with and empty website!

Only if the package manager fails or if you're feeling nerdy today.

Get the latest version of Textmotion.
Uncompress the above file.
Upload the contents of the src directory (but not src itself) to your hosting server in the same place where textmotion is currently installed. If your FTP program complains about already existing files tell it you want to overwrite all.
Once the upload is finished, browse to http://yoursite.example.org/install/ and follow on-screen directions. Make sure you choose UPGRADE when asked. Otherwise, you might end up with and empty website!
